Im getting an error about oscommerce directory not being writable, How do I fix it?
| There are several directories you must make writable in osCommerce, OSCMAX, and CRE Loaded versions of osCommerce if you wish for them to function properly. In order to do this you will need either of the following:
An FTP Client such as WS_FTP, CuteFTP, WarFTP, or access to your hosting control panel if your host uses a panel that allows you to change file and directory permissions.
1. Most FTP Clients will allow you to log into your server and right click a folder for a menu. In this menu is usually something similar to "properties" or "CHMOD". Click this and turn on "write" mode for the directory. I highly recommend only enabling "Write" Mode for the "Owner" and not the "User, or Group".
Some directories you will need to make writable are:
/images /admin/images /admin/images/graphs /sessions (depends on name of directory you created to write sessions to in the admin, or if your using Mysql session storage methods) /cache /temp (you should create this)
